Passive house is a highly energy-efficient building concept that achieves efficient thermal insulation performance through the construction and design of the building itself, thereby reducing reliance on active energy sources. Passive rooms do not require traditional heating and air conditioning equipment, relying on natural lighting, solar radiation, human body heat dissipation, and electrical heat dissipation to maintain a comfortable indoor environment.
The configuration requirements for passive house glass mainly include the following aspects:
U value and g value: The U value of passive house glass should be ≤ 0.7W/m ² K, and the g value should be ≥ 0.5. The U value determines the amount of heat loss, while the g value determines the amount of heat gain. The smaller the U value, the better the insulation performance; The smaller the g-value, the better the insulation effect in summer
Multi layer glass: Passive house usually use low-energy glass with three or four layers, such as three glass insulated windows. These glasses usually have a low-e coating on the second and fifth sides, with warm edge spacers, and are filled with inert gases such as argon to reduce thermal conductivity
Low-E glass: Low-E glass is coated on the surface of the glass to reduce emissivity and is commonly used in passive house to reduce heat transfer. This type of glass can reduce heat loss in winter and decrease solar radiation entering indoors in summer
Other characteristics: Passive room glass also needs to meet other performance requirements, such as heat transfer coefficient K ≤ 0.8W/(㎡· K), total solar transmittance G ≥ 0.35, selectivity coefficient S=TL/g ≥ 1.25, etc.

Strong comfort
Environmental sustainability
Long term economic benefits
Enhancing Building Value
Passive house glass meet the data request U value ≤0.7W/(m²·K) to ensure good insulation performance ,G value ≥0.5 to balance heat gain and heat loss, ensuring the ability to block excessive solar radiation in summer. So that the whole window system U value<0.8W/(m2K)
Lanjing has past China National Test that the passive house window glass U value beyond the request standard:
Triple insulated with low-e surface #2 and #5,with 12mm argon space.
Triple insulated with low-e surface #2 and #5,with 16mm argon space.
Triple insulated with low-e surface #2 and #5, with 18mm argon space.
