Bulletproof glass is a composite material made by bonding multiple pieces of glass or high-strength organic sheets together with transparent adhesive materials; Different types of bulletproof glass can prevent bullets of different types from penetrating, thus achieving protection. So, what does bulletproof glass work?
The bulletproof principle of bulletproof glass is to convert the high-speed impact kinetic energy of different types of bullets into the elastic potential energy of glass and the surface energy of fragments. When a high-speed bullet impacts the bulletproof glass, the hit area of the glass breaks, forming a radial crack (as shown in the above picture), causing deformation of the bullet. Its kinetic energy is reduced and absorbed, making it unable to penetrate the bulletproof glass. The glass is fixed in a frame, and fragments are stuck by organic film, preventing the glass from falling off and protecting the human body from harm.
