Low-e coating
Is low emissivity glass, known for its incredible solar and thermal performance, It is a film product composed of multiple layers of metal or other compounds coated on the surface of glass.
Hard Coated Low-e Glass
It’s an online low-e, low-e coated when glass comes from the kiln line.
The biggest advantage of hard-coated low-E is it’s hard and has no chemical reaction when exposed in the air, glass can be used as a single panel.
The emissivity is about 0.15-0.2, higher than soft-coated low-E coatings, so hard coated Low-E glass U value higher than soft-coated low-e glass.

Soft Coated Low-e Glass
Also known as off line low-e ,It's produced with vacuum magnetron sputtering coating technology after float glass finished . soft coated low-e can be on clear glass and tinted glass.
According to the silver layer quantity in the coating,soft coated low-E can be classified into single silver low-E,double silver low-E, and triple silver low-E.
Single Silver Low-E coating
Single silver low-e is glass coated with one silver layer in the coating. The U value is around 1.7-1.8, SC value around 0.3-0.7. The processing for tempering single silver low-e is easier,it’s also not as costly as double silver low-e or triple silver low-e.
Double Silver Low-E coating
Double Silver Low-E coating is with two silver layers in the coating. It has better U value around 1.6-1.7, SC value can be around 0.3-0.45. it provides excellent energy saving performance, used widely for constructions and passive house. It’s more expensive than single silver low-e glass.
Triple Silver Low-E coating
It’s actually a high technology for low-e coating industry, with three silver layers inside the coating, it has max VLT to get the most sunlight and best U value and SC value to keep heat or cold. It’s the most expensive one among the three types.

Solar Reflective Coating
It’s a high-quality float glass surface coated with one to multiple layers of metal or compound films by vacuum magnetron sputtering. It’s with high light reflective and low SC values reflecting most solar energy.
